Summer should feel expansive for young children — not chaotic or unstructured.
Long breaks from routine can cause learning loss, emotional dysregulation, and missed opportunities for growth during some of the most important developmental years.
Our Summer Enrichment Program is intentionally designed to give children the best of both worlds: the joy and freedom of summer paired with the stability, guidance, and meaningful engagement young learners need to thrive.
At Soft Start Early Learning Academy, summer isn’t about simply keeping children busy.
It’s about nurturing curiosity, strengthening foundational skills, and creating joyful learning experiences through hands-on exploration, creative play, field trips, and meaningful social connection.
Through small group learning and thoughtful programming, children continue building literacy, problem-solving skills, confidence, and emotional awareness — all while making memories that feel like summer should.

Consistent Daily Rhythm
Children still thrive with structure — even during summer. Our program follows a predictable daily rhythm that balances learning, movement, creative play, meals, outdoor exploration, and rest. This gentle structure allows children to enjoy the freedom of summer while feeling secure, regulated, and ready to learn.

Emotionally Supportive Care
We prioritize emotional safety, co-regulation, and respectful guidance in every interaction. Children are supported in expressing their feelings, building friendships, and navigating challenges with confidence. Our educators meet behavior with curiosity and compassion, helping children grow socially and emotionally throughout the summer.

Intentional Engagement
Every activity is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and meaningful learning. Through hands-on exploration, STEM activities, art, music, storytelling, and weekly adventures, children strengthen language skills, creativity, and problem-solving while staying engaged and excited about learning.

Summer should include both adventure and rest. Children are given time for quiet activities, sensory breaks, and relaxed moments throughout the day so their minds and bodies can recharge. This balance helps children stay regulated, happy, and fully present for the experiences around them.

Our Summer Enrichment Program is designed specifically for young children who still need structure, emotional safety, and thoughtful guidance, even during the excitement of summer.
We believe summer can be joyful without becoming overwhelming.

Soft Start Summer Sponsorship ProgramSoft Start Summer Sponsorship Program
At Soft Start, we believe every child deserves a summer filled with curiosity, creativity, and care.
This year, we are introducing a limited number of community-sponsored placements for our Summer Enrichment Program. These placements allow children whose families may need additional support to participate in the full six-week Soft Start experience.
Our goal is to provide five sponsored placements per age group, expanding access for more children in our community.
Each sponsored placement helps cover essential parts of the Soft Start program, including registration, daily meals and snacks, field trips, learning materials, and each child’s Soft Start program shirt.
Ways to Support
Sponsor a Child’s Summer Experience — $995
Supports one child’s full six-week program.
Support a Week of Enrichment — $175
Helps cover one week of a child’s experience.
Community Supporter — Any Amount
Every contribution helps expand access for families in our community.
